Thread: Variable markup

A client has asked us to develop a site and integrate RapNet feeds. They want to be able to adjust their prices according to certain rules to do with shipping and apparently there is some way of approaching this using "the option of a variable mark up depending on the stone weight and price per carat". I can't find any reference to this anywhere, is there anyone who can enlighten me?

When you set up your feed you can specify which markups you want to add for each category. You have the option to base these categories on price or on carat weight. In additional to a percentage you can specifiy, you can also add a fixed amount to each category.

So for example, you can set it up like this:
0-1 carat: add 5% + $20.
1-2 carat add 4.7% + $15
2-3 carat add 3% + $25

and so on.
