What is TradeLink
TradeLink is a program that can connect your inventory with RapNet. TradeLink is a software program that will automatically upload diamond listings and/or certificate scans, 3D files or diamond images from your inventory program to RapNet. TradeLink, developed by Rapaport, is a windows service that looks at your inventory and pushes updates to RapNet.

System requirements:
Vista, Windows XP, 2000 or 2003
Internet connection (port 80)

Before you start:
- Make sure that you have administrative rights on the machine you want to install TradeLink on. Preferably have the system   administrator with you.
TradeLink is
FREE for
RapNet Members
- You will need a valid RapNet username and password
- Know the location of the certificate and 3D files (optional).
- Know the location of the inventory files / inventory program / database connection string (optional).
- Have a unique identifier for each lot, such as a primary key in your database, stock number etc….

You can not use TradeLink in combination with regular uploads.
You can stop using TradeLink at any time.

Supported Diamond Inventory files
TradeLink can work either with automatically generated export files (at least once a day) or it can access your database directly.
Automatically exported Comma delimited file (CSV) with headers
Automatically exported Excel with headers
Automatically exported Tab delimited file with headers
(Read-only) ODBC and OleDB compatible database source such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL, MS Access. You must provide the connection string and SQL Query.

The windows service user must have access to your diamond inventory file. So if you use a file (not database access) then you cannot provide a mapped network drive. You must provide a UNC path that is accessible by user (default is localsystem). You can change the user in the windows service settings.

Uploading Certificates with TradeLink
You can also use TradeLink to upload certificate and 3D files, such as Sarin, OGI or GEM files. You can do this in combination with uploading your stock, or choose only to upload certificates images. The program will run the background and make sure that all certificate and 3D files in a certain folder are uploaded to the website.
