It is possible to display diamonds from other RapNet members on your own website with your own
markup by following these instructions:
- Ask the vendor/RapNet member for permission to display their inventory.
They can grant you permission in the "RapLink" section of RapNet. Some vendors grant everyone permission by default and you will automatically see their information under the Vendors section of "RapLink" and do not need to get their permission.
- Setup a diamond feed. (Instructions are below)
- Create a program that will automatically retrieve the URLs and import them into your database. You will need a programmer to do this. Alternatively, you can download the URLs manually if your website has an import mechanism.
- Connect the data to your website.
How to setup a diamond feed? (The following instructions are technical and might require the assistance of your company programmer)
There are a three different ways to set up your diamond feed:
1. To set up a diamond feed, follow this two step process:
a) Choose the diamonds and vendors you want via this form
http://www.RapNet.com/rapnet/DownloadListings/download.aspx.
b) Once you have finished the set up, you can perform a one-time download by clicking on the “Download file” button, or you can click on the “generate code” button to generate a line of code that can be used by your computer programmers to periodically download those Rapnet diamonds meeting your set-up criteria.
It is recommended to use a programmer who can create a program to automatically download the list of diamonds and import it into your database. (You can also manually go to the page and download the URLs and then create an import function in your website.)
2. You can create your own program that will download the diamond listings via our
XML Web Services. You can find more information

3. Use RapNet for Retailers which is an automatic search engine on your site. This option is still in experimental phase. For more information send us an email.
RapLink does not work as a live feed, but as a feed that you can call every 6 –
24 hours.
