It is possible to display diamonds from other RapNet members on your own website
with your own markup. RapNet Inventory Link offers three different ways to sell
more diamonds in your store: RapNet Inventory Link, RapNet Inventory Link Pro and
RapNet Inventory Link Plus. Three customized packages enabling you to download diamonds
from RapNet into your store’s online diamond inventory.

Using the following easy steps you can offer your customers the opportunity to select
from a wide range of diamonds in your online store or storefront:
- Ask the vendor/RapNet member for permission to display their inventory.www.rapnet.com/rapnet/DownloadListings/download.aspx
They can grant you permission in the "RapNet Inventory Link" section of RapNet.
Some vendors grant everyone permission by default and you will automatically see
their information under the Vendors section of "RapNet Inventory Link" and do not
need to get their permission.
- Setup a diamond feed. (Instructions are below)
- Create a program that will automatically retrieve the URLs and import them into
your database. You will need a programmer to do this. Alternatively, you can download
the URLs manually if your website has an import mechanism.
- Connect the data to your website.
How to setup a diamond feed? (The following instructions are technical and might
require the assistance of your company programmer)
There are four different ways to set up your diamond feed:
1. To set up a diamond feed, follow this two step process:
a) Choose the diamonds and vendors you want via this from
http://www.RapNet.com/rapnet/DownloadListings/download.aspx.
b) Once you have finished the set up, you can perform a one-time download by clicking
on the “Download file” button, or you can click on the “generate code” button to
generate a line of code that can be used by your computer programmers to periodically
download those Rapnet diamonds meeting your set-up criteria. It is recommended to
use a programmer who can create a program to automatically download the list of
diamonds and import it into your database. (You can also manually go to the page
and download the URLs and then create an import function in your website.)
2. You can create your own program that will download the diamond listings via our
XML Web Services. You can find more information
here.
3.To integrate RapNet Inventory Link Pro into your website, you must copy & paste
the piece of HTML that you get at the end of the registration process. You can find
this code – an HTML tag for an iframe – also herehttp://www.rapnet.com/rapnet/retailfeed/GeneratedCode.aspx?FeedID=XXX . Placing this iframe on your website
will give you a fully functional search engine with the diamonds and prices that
you set up in your feed. If a customer wants to buy a diamond, the customer will
have to fill in their details, and you will get an email.
4. RapNet Inventory Link Plus is a pass-through XML web service. First you will
have to set up the feed on RapNet.com, to specify which diamonds you want to include,
and with which markups. You have to create your own search engine, which will call
our XML web services with the search parameters and get back a data set with the
search results.
RapNet Inventory Link does not work as a live feed, but as a feed that you can call
every 6 – 24 hours.
RapNet Inventory Link Pro and RapNet Inventory Link Plus do not work as live feeds,
but as feeds that you can call every 6 – 24 hours.
